๐ŸŒฟ Before Your Workshop

Not at all โ€” all workshops are designed for complete beginners. Our instructors walk you through every step of the process, and the goal is always a piece you're proud to take home.

We recommend comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting messy โ€” resin can splatter, and pigments can stain. You're also welcome to bring your own apron if you prefer extra coverage. We do have protective supplies available at the workshop.

Yes, absolutely! We love groups. For public classes, simply book your spots together. For larger groups (6 or more), we'd recommend a private event so you have the full experience to yourselves โ€” fully customized to your group's vibe. Reach out at info@resin8studio.com to get started.

Workshops are generally designed for adults. Children are welcome under adult supervision, provided they are over the age of 10. We ask that a parent or guardian remain present throughout the class if attending with a child.

Yes, absolutely. All necessary materials are included in your ticket, but you're welcome to bring your own dried flowers, botanicals, or decorative elements to incorporate into your piece. Just check with us in advance if you have anything specific in mind.

โœจ What to Expect

Everything you need is included in your ticket. There's nothing extra to buy and nothing to bring โ€” just show up.

  • All resin, pigments, and mixing materials
  • Floral decorations and pressed botanicals
  • Molds, trays, or canvas (depending on class)
  • Protective gloves and safety supplies
  • Tools and equipment throughout the workshop
  • Take-home kit with everything needed to seal your piece at home
  • Clear written instructions for finishing and curing

During the workshop, you'll design your piece by arranging florals, pigments, and decorative elements while the resin is in its most fluid and creative stage. This first layer sets the foundation of your piece.

What you'll leave with:

  • Your partially cured resin piece
  • Everything necessary to seal your piece at home
  • Clear written instructions for finishing and curing
Some movement of florals or elements can occur during transport, as resin can continue to move for up to 4 hours after pouring. This natural shift is part of working with resin and adds to the organic, one-of-a-kind nature of each piece.

Once home, you'll pour the final sealing layer, which locks everything into place and gives your piece a smooth, finished surface. Full curing typically takes 36โ€“48 hours, after which your piece will be solid and ready to enjoy.

Most resin pieces require 24โ€“72 hours to fully cure depending on thickness and environmental conditions. During this time, pieces should remain undisturbed on a flat, level surface.

You'll receive clear take-home instructions on care and handling specific to your piece.

Resin can continue to move for up to 3โ€“4 hours after pouring. We recommend keeping your piece flat and minimizing movement during that time โ€” avoid tilting the tray or placing it in a warm car if possible.

You're always welcome to hang out at the venue a bit longer to allow additional curing time before transporting your piece โ€” especially if you have a longer drive home.

Resin is an experimental, creative medium โ€” and that's part of its beauty. While our instructors provide guidance throughout the workshop, outcomes can vary based on your design choices and the natural behavior of the materials.

This variability is genuinely part of the experience. Some of the most unexpected results turn into the most treasured pieces. We encourage you to embrace the process and enjoy the journey as much as the result.
